Where Stillness Speaks
This beaded deer skull is a one-of-one sculptural work, composed of over 10,000 beads, each individually placed by hand with precision and intention.
The process is slow and exacting, unfolding over 80–100 hours. Every bead is carefully positioned to achieve balance, continuity, and a seamless flow of pattern across the form. There are no shortcuts—only repetition, focus, and control.
Rooted in Métis visual language and shaped through contemporary practice, the work exists at the intersection of tradition and fine art. The deer, a symbol of quiet strength and resilience, becomes a vessel through which memory, identity, and craftsmanship are carried forward.
Mounted as a finished piece, this work is created for collectors who value rarity, discipline, and the presence of the artist’s hand in every detail.
